Because I certainly DIDN'T ASK No 3 son to take a pair of scissors to his own hair only 2 days after paying for a barber to cut his hair.
I DIDN’T ask No 4 son to smash TWO of my conservatory windows with a football only days apart.
And I definitely didn’t ask for an incident, which required poo cleaning from both floor and clothes.
But this all happened last week. So I am feeling fairly positive that this week can only be better than the last one, which quite frankly sucked.
In other news, my children have been helping around the house a little more than usual. 'Usual' being zero so I guess anything is an improvement. I have previously wished for a Laundry Elf and over the last few days No 3 and No 4 have been industriously taking on elf like qualities. However, I really wanted a laundry elf for free. These two require hard cash for their efforts. Does that count as child labour? It seems rather unfair to have to pay them to hang up a few clothes when they have cost us two new windows. But any help with laundry is well worth it, so my purse is a whole lot lighter.
And finally I leave you with the news that I have not managed to leave the house with my children in under 5 minutes for approximately 11 years. So whilst I know we already shared this on Facebook recently, as it is very funny and a very accurate representation of life with children, it needs to be shared again!
