I started Shona’s beginners’ course last Friday. It was good; actually it felt really good. I’d been apprehensive about my first session, like most of the other nine women who turned up. Shona told us to relax, not to worry about needing a wee (discreet circling around whoever needed it could be arranged), or a weak pelvic floor (because we’re women and that’s just one of the “joys”). It wasn’t hard to warm to Shona’s humorously pragmatic and positive approach.
So Shona, I’ve done my homework (twice, thanks to Angelique) and look forward to Friday’s session. And if you could arrange for the sun to show itself again, that would be amazing. If not, I’m sure you’ll convince me why we don’t need sunshine to love running…..right?
