So our little big boys have finished primary school. Out on a high with the emotionally charged Leavers Service in the morning, followed by a late afternoon / evening do which involved swimming (yes I was one of the parents on pool monitoring duty and I wasn’t very calm!), followed by dinner and drinks. All of which took place in the lovely Kentish sunshine at St Julians Country Club. Happy memories to end 7 years together, before the class disperses to a variety of secondary schools.
This ‘letting go’ of my No 1 son was done with slight hesitation based on the accident prone nature of my boys. Only last night I was back in A&E, my second home, with No. 4 son who had knocked himself out falling off a fort / climbing frame. Concussion seems to be a theme for Becky and I with the males in our families. One I hope we have seen the back of for the foreseeable future.
