The journey home was filled with an uninterrupted oral journal of the week that has passed, evidence that it was a great success. I now know who sings in their sleep, who fell into the bog, which teacher was game enough to do the "leap of faith", as well as a friend's handy tip for lengthening the usability of the last pair of pants (it's good but I won't pass it on here!).
The photo above was taken yesterday. Today is a different picture - he's tired, oh so tired, after a week living the high life on very little sleep and having developed a taste for coffee just before bedtime. The other kids are thrilled to have him back but the novelty is quickly wearing off. Niggling arguments and cleverly-chosen words shooting like arrows are winning over happy families harmony, and No 1 is experiencing that crash back to reality after a fab time away. I think by the time night falls we will ALL be donning Kate Middleton masks crazily singing Always Look on the Bright Side together!
